Boston's Karate Academy Triumphs on European Stage
The Traditional Karate Academy Boston (TKAB) has once again put Great Britain on the map by showcasing remarkable talent and skills at the 36th International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) European Championships and the 5th European Children Cup held in Kraljevo, Serbia. Notably, the academy returned with a stunning total of eight medals, marking a significant achievement for both the athletes and their coaches.
A Star Performer: Adriana Peiseniece
Leading the charge was Adriana Peiseniece, who earned an impressive haul of five medals including a gold in Fukugo. Her successes have now added to her legacy, representing six consecutive podium finishes at European and World Championships. Peiseniece's talents shine brightly, evidenced by her podium finishes in various disciplines: silver in Jyu Kumite, bronze in Kogo Kumite, and two more bronzes—one in Enbu with teammate Kristina Samsonova and another in Team Kata alongside Valentyna Korovyna.
Team Effort: Collective Success at its Best
Notably, Peiseniece was not alone in her pursuit of glory. Samuil Georgiev secured a gold medal in kumite, showcasing not just his skill but a determination that permeated throughout the team. Teammate Malvina Rubina also made her mark with a silver medal in kumite, demonstrating the strong performance and potential of the TKAB athletes. Collectively, the accomplishments highlight the commitment and talent fostered within TKAB.
The Importance of Nurturing Talent
Head Coach Sensei Zbigniew Godzisz praised his team, stating, “We are incredibly proud of our athletes. Their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship have shone through in every event.” This is not just an acknowledgment of their performance, but a testament to the culture of dedication fostered within the academy.
Karate's Role in Personal Development
As members return home, they do so not only with medals but also with invaluable experiences that will undoubtedly prepare them for future competitions. The Traditional Karate Academy Boston is committed to cultivating talent and fostering a love for the art of karate. Such opportunities promote personal growth among students in ways that extend beyond martial arts; skills learned through karate can translate into better focus, discipline, and confidence in all aspects of life.

Gurnee families can easily participate in karate lessons, self-defense classes, or kids martial arts programs designed to foster both skill and a lifelong love of the martial arts. As training promotes both physical fitness and emotional resilience, it's an ideal fit for both children and adults alike.
Addressing issues from self-defense to fitness, participation in karate encourages personal growth and well-rounded development. With classes available for everyone—women, men, and children—everyone can discover the benefits of martial arts.
